The Parents’ Council developed this initiative to build math skills and confidence in students that will enable them to improve their MAP-M and MCAP EOY test results!

NAACP-MC Parents’ Council, BBC, IXL and MCPS are partnering to offer parents/caregivers the Empowering Math Success at Home initiative. Parents are expected to:

Attend the brief Parent/Caregiver Training & provide required baseline information.
Encourage following the Effective Implementation guidelines, including completing the IXL baseline Diagnostic and weekly maintenance Diagnostic.
Support 3-4 daily sessions per week for no more than 10-20 minutes per day
Respond to weekly check-in messages
Expected to join the Math Momentum WhatsApp group to streamline communications
